Reviews
Awful clubhouse, range, and practice facilities. You might catch a stray if you brave the chipping green. It is also quite busy. The course is simple but fun. The holes by the river are great in the spring and the conditions were better than i expected for such a busy course more on the budget side.
This was the third course I visited during my recent trip to Boise Idaho. Warms Springs is a public, parkland style course that's a short drive from downtown Boise, that sits between the Boise River and the beautiful mountains of Idaho. It claims to be a championship style course. I would argue that it's not. This is a beginner to a high-handicapped player friendly public course. The course is generally long, flat and forgiving. It can get boring at times if you're a better than average golfer. The tee boxes are oddly spaced out, and show some wear. The bunkers are shallow with very hard sand. The greens are generally in good condition and playable. The pace of play is slow. We played closer to five hours. This largely to do with the variety of players this course attracts. The practice areas are nothing to write home about and are barely useful to warm up. And the pro shop is also very basic, and cluttered. I definitely wouldn't stick around for a beverage after. For a no-frills course, the fees are more than affordable which is in line with what you get. I would say that this course is best suited for beginner or high-handicapped players who just want to have fun and a fair price. All being sad, it was a fun day with good weather. I couldn't complain too much.
Great course for the $31 green fee. The course is forgiving with little water hazards and quite a bit of open grass to find the balls that don't hit the fairway. There wasn't a beer/food cart driving around even though it was pretty busy. Not sure if that is typical. Overall, a nice course and a fun round.
