Some pros have PGA Class A. Not cheap but deserved. Parking validation is provided. New motion analysis system and competent coaching pro can improve your golf skills fast and efficiently. Automatically set up a golf tee. Located in the center of Korea Town. Nice Korean restaurants and entertainments around the place.
The City Golf is the premier indoor golf facility in LA. I've tried all others and trust me, this is the place to go for all reasons previous reviewers have touched on. 1. Ease of access: Parking in the HMart garage is free and extremely easy to find right in the heart of Ktown. They do charge for parking outside of peak hours but The City Golf will validate your ticket for you. 2. Availability: The City Golf is open until 10pm (great for a late night practice session) and they have 16 bays making it easy to walk in and get right on. You can also reserve a bay online just to be safe. I've never gone during peak hours but you may want to reserve in that case.. 3. Staff and Instructors: I have had many conversations with the owner, his staff, and Ryan (instructor). All of them have been beyond pleasant and it makes me want to support them as they work to make City Golf a fixture in the Ktown community. Ryan took the time to give me a few pointers one night and the results were incredible. The tech used at this place is beyond helpful, but it takes a few sessions to really take advantage of all it has to offer. Investing in one lesson to start would definitely speed up the learning curve and Ryan is the guy to go to. 4. Technology and Swing Feedback: The instant swing feedback you receive is unmatched. You literally hit your shot, turn around and see your swing in ultra slow motion from two different angles. You can then manipulate the video (draw lines, see impact point, trajectory, path, metrics, etc.) You can compare your metrics vs those of PGA, LPGA, amateur averages. You can also see your data collectively for each club to check tendency and adjust from there. It really is amazing and like nothing else I've used before. The only drawback is that you cannot save this data once your session ends. Hopefully this improvement to the platform is made. In the meantime you can bring a USB stick and save your swing videos but you cannot save the data. I normally save the video to a stick and then record or take a snapshot of the data with my phone to check later. Overall I highly recommend The City Golf and plan to head over there in an hour or so myself. You'll love the feedback you receive and like anything else, you'll gain as much from it as the work you put in. Good luck!
One of the best indoor golf facilities I've been to! Never used this system before, but it's very user-friendly and the system gives you a feedback on your swing right away, so it's very helpful. Price is good ($30/hr), and the open ceiling makes it feel very open for an indoor space. The staff is extremely nice as well. One of the coaches at the store gave me a quick pointer to help me with my swing! I'll be coming here to practice my game now.
