Riverside Golf Academy

I didn’t play any golf here, but allow me to tell you a quick story. My family and I live in Northwest Indiana and we’re driving through Indy on our way back from a late Christmas vacation. Our car’s alternator went out on us and I coasted into Riverside’s parking lot. I had my wife, my 5 month old, and black lab with a bunch of luggage, so as we scrambled to get a tow truck and contact a friend to get us home, the staff here allowed us to hang out for a while… doggo included. They were friendly, accommodating, and understand customer service better than many. Come for the golf, stay for some very hospitable management. Cheers!

Really convenient to have a driving range close by (the west side) that's open all year. The heated stalls are great! There are plenty of distance markers out on the range so you're never guessing at how close you came to hitting your target. They could used some newer style mats that work a little better with regular tees but they're still better than the older mats you find at most driving ranges. More stalls would be good too since the line backs up when it's a busy time (like 5pm on weekdays or weekends). The largest bucket of balls cost $15 which is right in line with other non-heated driving ranges.

This is great for what it is. They have a par three golf course, a great way to start. They have group lessons for kids or private lessons. My wife, daughter and I did one with Ally. It was great. It was my first one ever and by the end I was hitting straight up to 150 with my 8 iron. My daughter did the first tee class and enjoyed it. They have snacks and drinks for sale. They also have an indoor virtual gold set up, 2 screens. There is a driving range, indoor and outdoor putting greens for practice.
