Kiss Mini golf is so much fun! Kiss songs play the entire time and songs requests are happily accepted. It's very inexpensive and not crowded when we went, so we had a blast taking photos, singing and playing guitar with our putters! We danced and putted through a glow in the dark 18 hole course. We paid to go through Gene Simmons' museum. It was so full of stuff! We had a great guide who is a huge kiss fan and told us a lot about the items we looked at. We purchased quitar picks from original tours and really thought this attraction was worth the money.
KISS Mini Golf is operated by Monster Mini Golf, the same as the Twilight Zone Mini Golf at Horseshoe. We've been to the Twilight Zone location many times and finally made it to the KISS location at the Rio. Both locations are 18 holes. There was no wait and there is a discount for locals, so don't forget to ask for that before you pay, just show your Nevada ID. It saves $2 per ticket. Regular price is $12.95. This course was more difficult than Twilight Zone, but was so much fun! KISS music was playing loud and videos were playing on various screens. The art on the walls, the decor and features in the course were also fun. They also had some KISS facts on the walls as well. There is a separate Gene Simmons KISS World Museum which we didn't go through, but outside of the entrance was an extensive amount of gold records, etc. There was also some memorabilia that you could buy. There's a small arcade area, but sad to say, only 2 Skeeball lanes. LOL We love Skeeball but had to pass it up since kids were playing. Well, maybe next time.
My expectations for what I would see and experience at Gene Simmons’ KISS world was very high. I know he has a big collection of KISS merchandise that gives insight of his entrepreneur spirit. But the museum could be so much better if it focused on quality not quantity. Having as much of KISS junk possible to over crowd the shelves in the small rooms of the museum just doesn’t cut it for me. I would have preferred seeing less junk and more unique props and memorabilia taken from concerts and things. Something more meaningful of the band. Something beyond toys, trinkets and dolls. Also put I think Gene should put effort with descriptions as to why certain display is worth viewers time to even look at it. Sorry Gene… I wanted the best and it was no where near the best at KISS World.
